Acres is a visual Markdown workspace that prioritizes local data storage and is available for macOS and Windows. It allows you to link notes, research, and plans using cards, mind maps, tags, and properties. The integrated AI and MCP/CLI agents can assist in editing and organizing notes, with the ability to review changes and undo actions. All your notes are stored in a local folder. A 14-day trial is offered, followed by a one-time license fee of $59 USD for early adopters.
